New SMT HCW 3000 Boring Mill

We have expanded our machining capacity with a new SMT HCW 3000 boring mill. A boring mill is used for the precise machining of large metal workpieces, for example for creating and finishing bores and other surfaces.

The machine is positioned next to an existing, identical boring mill. The SMT HCW 3000 has a Y-axis travel of 7,000 mm and a Z-axis travel of 2,000 mm, making it suitable for machining large workpieces.

Additional capacity for machining

The expansion gives us more capacity for large and complex machining projects. The new machine is a practical addition to our existing machine park and provides us with more possibilities for future projects.

When the two boring mills are used as a duo, they create a combined X-axis of no less than 40 metres. This allows us to machine large workpieces across this length.

The machines do not always have to operate together. When a project requires it, they can also be used independently, allowing us to carry out different machining operations simultaneously and with greater flexibility.
